Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Kambeitz

1916 - 2010 Anne was born July 8, 1916 in Lemberg, Saskatchewan. She passed away peacefully Saturday, November 20, 2010 at home in the Regina Lutheran Home. Anne married Chris Kambeitz in 1939 at Mutrie, SK. Mom and Dad raised seven children while residing in Osage, Regina, Corinne, Wilcox and Chamberlain. The focus of their life was their family, friends and faith. She was a Wife, Mother, Grandma, Great-Grandma and Sister who welcomed everyone into her home. For a period of time, they owned and operated the C & A Caf in Corinne. It was a very popular stop and Mom was renowned for her homemade pies and cooking. On January 8, 1982, Mom lost her husband Chris, they had been married for 42 years. She was also predeceased by her parents John and Regina Schick; siblings George, Edward, Minnie and Frank; grandson David Scheibel; sons-in-law Clarence Blondeau and Ken Erickson; and infant grandson Isaac Hobbins. Anne will be lovingly remembered by her children Jean and Leonard Scheibel; Jim and Jeanette Kambeitz; Gerry and Jeannie Kambeitz; Geraldine Erickson and Bryce Geisam; Jack Kambeitz and Bev Townshend; Marilyn Blondeau, Michael and Debbie Kambeitz; and her sister Helen Schick. She was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Funeral Mass will take place Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in Little Flower RC Church, 420 College Avenue, Regina with Rev. Barry Anwender presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Regina Lutheran Home, 1925 5th Avenue North, Regina, SK, S4R 1W9.
