Obituary of Agnes Littletent
Agnes Littletent (Tasik Ikinaw Iskwew) left to the spirit world on December 3, 2010. Agnes leaves to mourn her sons, Perry (Leah), and Eric (Trudy), and daughters, Byra (Eddy) and Twyla (Shawn), adopted sons Henry Desjarlais and John Walters. Also her grandchildren; Brenden, Tawnya, Junior, Rayne, Taryn, Tryin, Trey, Tamara, Riley, Tameika, Megan, Lindsey, Tyson, Courtney, Chante, Desmond, Shayla, Dshawn, and kokoms special baby Ryanna, numerous nieces, nephews, sisters Joan, Rosaline and Sandra (Joe), brother Kirby (Cheryl) Littletent and relatives.
She is predeceased by her mother Amanda Littletent and father Archie Littletent, her nicimos/husband Percy Poorman, sons Ryan Littletent and Randy Littletent, grandson Justice Poorman, brothers Hillard Littletent, Jarvis Littletent and Jerome Littletent, sisters Emma Littletent and Evelyn Littletent.
Agnes Littletent was a spiritual First Nation Woman. She lived a smoke, drug and alcohol free lifestyle. She was a bus driver for 30 years for the Kawacatoose First Nation and was a champion Old age Traditional Pow wow Dancer. Agnes enjoyed attending Pow-wows, Round dances, and all ceremonies. She was an elder in First Nation community schools. Agnes advocated the importance of education, to live a healthy lifestyle and the importance of our cultural ways.
Agnes, you will always be our champion KOKOM, MOTHER, and DANCER, you will always be in our HEARTS. Love the grandchildren and children.
A Wake was held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the Kawacatoose Community Centre, Kawacatoose First Nation. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Kawacatoose Community Centre. Interment in South Cemetery, Kawacatoose First Nation.
