Katelyn Jane Marit from Regina, Saskatchewan passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the age of 33 years after battling cancer. Katie was a profoundly caring person in both her personal and professional lives. She worked as a social worker and devoted her career to helping vulnerable children and focused on reuniting families. Katie was an unbelievable mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, niece, and granddaughter; she was the best of us. She is survived by her husband, Darrel Daschuk, and her children Lily (9), Olivia (4), and Jack (2); parents Lois and David; brother Jordan (Shawn); father-in-law Max and mother-in-law Danielle (Kevin); sisters-in-law Brittany (Taylor & nephew Jacob), and Brenna; as well as countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
