Obituary of Michael Ewashko

The family of Mike Ewashko are very sad to announce his passing at the age of 80 years. Mike is predeceased by his parents, Lawrence Ewashko and Frances Sirachman, step-father George Sirachman and sister Eva Fisher. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joye Ewashko [nee Porteous], his daughters Karen Ewashko, Kim Chisholm, and Kyla Jackson; his two cherished grandsons, Deon Pickens and Daunte Jackson; his brother John Ewashko [Luba] of Winnipeg and sister Mary Huber [Otto] of Regina; sisters-in-law Iola Chivers of Calgary and Marilyn Bissonnette [Marcel] of Regina; as well as many nephews, nieces and extended family members and friends. In 1953 he started his 35 year employment with the Regina Fire Department. His greatest love was his family. He will leave a void in our family that will never be filled. We love you Grandpa. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 20, 2010, at 1:30 pm at Speers Funeral Home, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. A private interment will be held by family members after the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regina Firefighters Burn Fund.
