Obituary of Fred William Lyon

Fred Lyon, late of Regina passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. He was predeceased by his wife Leona; mother Marion; step-mother Elsie; father Sid; and brother Al. Fred is survived by sisters-in-law, Delores and Edna; brothers-in-law Wilfred and Garry; several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Jacqueline, Trevor, Roxanne, Dwayne, Tami, Sheri, and Byron. Fred is also survived by his special friend Denice Postma, and her family, who remained close to his side in recent years. Over the years, his time was spent with Leona outdoors camping, fishing, and golf. In his later years he continued his passion for golf, spending a weekday morning on the golf course and attempting to finish his round of golf in less than four hours. Cremation has taken place, and due to the current COVID restrictions, we will be postponing a memorial until this summer, or when we are able to follow through with Fred’s wishes of his ashes being laid to rest alongside Leona.
