Obituary of Anthony Albert Wihlidal

Tony passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 with family at his side. He is lovingly missed by his wife Delia, his children Ramona (Ray) Rodych and Bob (Denise) Wihlidal and grandchildren Ben (Comena) Wihlidal, Barrett Rodych, Brietta Wihlidal and Beka (Taylor) Johnson. Tony was a school teacher, principal, Director of Education, a long-serving municipal council member and a passionate, community-minded volunteer. Above all, Tony loved family and nature. He greatly enjoyed fishing, camping, travelling and downhill skiing with his family, gardening, and playing saxophone with his polka band. Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Child Roman Catholic Church, 2636 7th Avenue East, Regina on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Lorne Crozon presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the dedicated and deeply caring staff at Pioneer Village (3W and 2W) who embraced and served Tony for the past two and one half years.
