Obituary of Diane Gifko

DIANE GIFKO (STANKOV) July 27, 1918 February 17, 2011 Predeceased by her mother Dora Stankov and father Steve Stankov, brothers Mike and Nick Stankov; sister Ruby Orthner; sister Mary (in infancy); and husband Nicholas Gifko in 1995. Survived by her daughter Donna Skoropata (Del) of Govan; two grandchildren, Amy Dickson (Beau Johnston) of Govan; Christopher Dickson (Jacene) of Indian Head; five great-grandchildren Tom, Samantha and Charles Johnston and Dylan and Danya Dickson; brother and sisters-in-law Tom and Alice Gifco and family; Mary Thorarinson of Moose Jaw and numerous nieces and nephews. Diane married Nicholas Gifko in Regina in 1948. They farmed in the Avonlea district until their retirement in 1977. They then moved to Moose Jaw until 1994 when they moved to Regina. In 2000 Diane moved to Govan where she lived for eight years. The last three years she lived at the Casa Bella Carehome in Regina. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice. She will be interred with her husband, at Riverside Memorial Park. Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
