Obituary of Priscilla Jane Orr

PRISCILLA JANE ORR Priscilla passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011, in Regina. She was born on April 19, 1911 near Milestone SK. During the thirties, she worked as a school teacher and secretary. Priscilla married Weldon Orr, of Regina, in January 1940, just weeks before his regiment left for England. He returned in 1945, and their only child, David, was born in 1946. Priscilla helped her husband in their family business, The Boys Shop, in Regina. Weldon passed away in 1980. Endlessly hospitable, she also worked tirelessly for her beloved Liberal Party, holding many executive positions. Predeceased by her brothers, Ralph and Paul; her sisters, Alice and Mildred; she is survived by her son, David Orr and his wife Lynn Squires, of Sherwood Park AB; and many loving nieces, nephews and family members. A Funeral Service to celebrate Priscillas life will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina with Father Allen Doerksen officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
