Obituary of David Arthur Gerrans

DAVID GERRANS October 8, 1925 March 26, 2011 On Saturday, March 26, 2011, David Gerrans, formerly of Milestone SK, passed away peacefully at the Radville Marian Health Centre, at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Jean Gerrans; parents-in-law Isaac and Camelia Howe; daughter Judy Ekuase; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Frank Lewgood; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leonard Howe, George and Blanche Howe, Bill and Rosella Howe, Liz and Henry Otterman, and Ed Howe. David will be deeply missed by his wife of fifty-eight years, Evelyn; son Cameron of Regina; grandchildren, Kathy and Karen Hunter of Toronto, Ashley Gerrans of Weyburn, Tyler and Tanner Gerrans of Regina; sisters-in-law, Arvilla and Pearl Howe; son-in-law Gordon Hunter; as well a number of nieces and nephews. David and Evelyn were married in November of 1952. They farmed for many years in the Dummer, Parry area. David and Ev were involved in the community for many years, enjoying and being with all their great friends and neighbours. David was on many committees such as the Wheat Pool, PFRA Pasture Board and the Dummer Hall. He was very active in sports all his life, and enjoyed watching sports. In the mid 80s they moved to Milestone where David continued farming until health reasons caused him to give up farming. David and Evelyn lived in Radville until his passing. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in Milestone United Church, Milestone SK with Rev. Tim Ellis officiating. Interment in Milestone Cemetery.
