Obituary of Josephine Melnychuk

JOSEPHINE MELNYCHUK September 3, 1930 April 8, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Josephine, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister and Friend. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Nicholas, brothers Michael, Walter and Edward, and sisters Bertha, Francis, Stella and Anne. Left to mourn are her daughters Leanne Reiman, Roberta (Dave) Gehl, Sheryl (Wayne) Joyce and Linda (Larry) Wiens; grandchildren Ryan (Delphine) Gehl, Angela Gehl Archer, Jonathan (Katherine) Joyce, Jacqueline (David) Howard, Cortney (Renee Knutson) Joyce, Jacqueline Wiens, Michael (Angela) Wiens, Aaron (Jenine) Demyen, Carla (Dan Madell) Demyen and Jonathan Wiens; great-grandchildren Zachary Gehl, Olivia and Ethan Archer, Molly Howard, Kaaya, Taryn and Craig Wiens, Nathan and Levi Demyen; sister Elsie (Gordon) Rolfe and brother John Hrynkiw. She will be sadly missed and forever loved by all. Many people will remember Mom as a good friend and neighbor, one whose front door was always open. She was a warm and caring soul who considered her family her prized possession. As she struggled with and overcame many health challenges, she always said that she was so lucky to have her family. She was immensely proud of her grandchildren, taking great interest in their lives, and she was overjoyed at being a great-grandmother. She may have thought of herself as the lucky one, but we were blessed to be part of her life. A Celebration of Moms Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina SK on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined but friends and family wishing to make donations in Moms memory, can do so to a charity of their choice.
