Obituary of Bernice Goudy

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bernice Goudy. She passed away on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021 at the Regina Pasqua Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd; her parents Eileen and Dick Shore; siblings Audrey Vryenhoek, Howard Shore, Joyce Shore, Evelyn Gray; in-laws George Goudy, David Goudy, John Goudy, Don Goudy, Lawrence Goudy, Luella Krasiun, Kay Orlowski, Dorothy Petrina, Marion Goudy; and step-children Sussanne Redwood, Ken Goudy and Kevin Goudy.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Paul (Lianne) Bigalky, Laura Tower (Scott), Kevin (Angie) Bigalky; step-children Richard (Vikki) Goudy, Sandra (Dan) Neuls, Joe (Bonnie) Goudy, Ray (Loretta) Goudy, Jeanette (Rod) Gyurek; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Bernice was born in Fort Qu’Appelle, SK on February 16, 1949. She met her first husband George and they were blessed with three children. Years later, she met and married Lloyd Goudy. She became a step-mother to Lloyd’s eight children. Bernice and Lloyd were very happy and spent all of their time together. They travelled extensively through Canada, visiting family and friends.

Bernice battled diabetes for many years, but always kept an amazing outlook when dealing with these limitations. She was determined and never gave up. Bernice will be dearly missed by so many people.

A viewing for Bernice will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held at the same location on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
