Murray was a great friend of Father Emmett Morrissey. Murray created a history booklet of Blessed Sacrament for Fr. Emmett. It was excellent and even carried a description of the churches stain glass windows. I'm sure they are enjoying each others company with the Lord in heaven.

To the Grant family. I feel so honoured to have met Murray. He was a wonderful, funny, loyal and smart individual. I loved his passion for community and the Foundation. He was an awesome story teller and could recite historical events like they happened yesterday. A few of us at the office had a birthday lunch with Murray a couple of years ago at his favourite spot - Western Pizza near the Golden Mile. He always brought an optimistic side to the conversation and had many ideas for the Foundation. We will all miss him but are so grateful we knew him. Our sincere sympathies to Genny and family. So very sorry to hear of Murray's passing. He was a lovely man! Murray and Genny were one of the first couples we met 29 years ago when we came to St.Cecilia Parish. Wonderful, wonderful people! We are so blessed to have known Murray. Mum and Dad had many, many friends, none any dearer or closer than Murray and Jenny. Growing up, I came to think of the Grants as an extension of our own family. Among the many accolades and tributes that will be paid to Murray over the next while it must not be forgotten that he was one of Regina‘s great “unofficial archivists”. He was a wealth of knowledge on pretty much any aspect of our community, often providing small details and connections that others were never aware of. He was able to do so because he loved this community and wanted to contribute as much of himself as he could for the good of others. We were all blessed to know him and will miss him dearly. And to Jen and the “girls” my deepest condolences. You of course were the most blessed and will miss him the most.

It was with great sadness I noted Murray's obituary in the Regina Leader Post today. We have so many fond, endearing, funny and poignant memories of our closest neighbour and the entire Grant family throughout the many formative years we lived next to each other. Murray's passion for photography inspired me to pursue - albeit only as a hobby - this art. Murray would take time to explain all things photography to me which led me to purchase my first camera, a Brownee with those blue flash bulbs that took up most of my biweekly allowance for film and developing! But one of my fondest memories I have of Murray was the photograph he took of me holding the Grey Cup the year the Riders won it. I still have that black and white photograph in a frame and I think of Murray whenever I see it.
Not often in life does a kid see in an adult, a friend. Although I have not seen Murray for many years I have alway cherished his friendship. My most sincere condolences to the entire Grant family. An end of an era but with a legacy that continues.

Dear Jen and Family
How sad I am to learn of Murray's passing. He was a wonderful man and next door neighbour to my late husband frank and i in our condo.
He was always ready to be helpful and he was so proud of the accomplishments of Kramer tractor and his association with them.
He was also very proud of his "girls" he will be missed. A man of many talents.

Dear Gen and family,
I am so very sorry that cousin Murr has gone. He and I shared being the third child in our respective families. The third child is often the ‘lost child’; flies under the radar but makes a huge impact. I am continuing to try to live up to the amazing legacy cousin Murr has left! Thinking of all of you.
Love, Enid
