Obituary of Gladys Rita Creeley

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Gladys Creeley wife, mother, sister, kohkom, great-kohkom, aunt and friend, on August 6, 2010. She was predeceased by her father Harry Bellegarde, mother Alice Bellegarde, daughter Emily, and brothers Michael, Tubby and Gub. Gladys is survived by her loving husband of 32 years Stanley; children Corey, Delbert, Carla (Eagle), Allie, Howie (Jodi), Crissy (Logan), Nathan/Gunz. Sisters Jan (Jim), Bev (Cal), Sandra, Lorraine (Dwight), Loretta and Lori. Brothers Randy, Kevin, Mike (Annette) and Garry. Sisters-in-law Freda and Mildred, mother-in-law Kathleen; special aunt Lorraine; adopted mom Anne; special cousin JR; kohkoms special helpers Tiarra and Lakeisha. Adopted children Tex, Lawrence, Dave, Beaner, Beaver, Lenny, Shannon, Kelly, Raelyn and Brandi Dawn. Gladys had numerous special nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were very special and dear to her heart. She was a very warm and loving person who was loved by all who knew her. Gladys was born on March 28, 1953. She will be remembered for her kind-hearted spirit. She was always willing to help anyone with what little she had. Gladys was a very straight forward, outspoken woman. She enjoyed her time with her family and friends playing Bingo, poker, cards and attending cultural events. She attended LBB Cultural Camp yearly. She was also a very competitive and talented poker player. Gladys will be greatly missed by all. A wake will be held on Monday, August 9, 2010 at Okanese Community Centre. The funeral will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 11:00am with Father Wojtkowiak OMI presiding. Interment to follow at Little Black Bear Family Cemetery.
