Obituary of Thomas Pastuch

Thomas Pastuch 1936 - 2010 It is with sad hearts, that we say our final good-bye to a loving Dad, Grandpa, Brother and Friend. We are comforted by the knowledge that he is once again back in the arms of his beloved wife, Vickie. Tom fought hard to stay with us, but on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the age of 74 years, with his family by his side, God wrapped him in His loving arms and took him home. Tom was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Vickie in 2006, his parents Wasyl and Mary and his brother John. Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory, special friend Margaret Fystrom. His adored children, Daughter, Marlene Winter (Glenn Elgren). Son, Terry (Lynn) and their daughters, Crystal (Dallas) Korchynski, Allyson (Craig) Slopinski, Nicole (Chris) Dunn, Taryn Pastuch. Daughter, Gerrie Mills and her sons, Zachary and Cody. Son, Barry (Lyn) and their children, Michele (Garett) Murray, Calin Pastuch, Tyler Pastuch. Son, Tom Jr. (Barb Finlayson) and their children, Shandal Pastuch, Jeannette Pastuch, Edward (Colleen) Finlayson, Blake Finlayson. Tom was blessed as well in the last few years with three great grandchildren: Rylee and Jeremy Dunn, Austin Murray. Tom is also survived by his sister Evelyn (Fred) Fisher, brothers, Ed Pastuch, Bill (Angela) Pastuch of B.C., sister-in-law Rose Pastuch, as well as many nieces and nephews. Tom was born in Candiac, Saskatchewan and farmed and schooled there to the age of 15. His family then moved into Regina and ran a boarding house, where a few doors down he met Victoria Kish, married and had 5 children. They had 49 years of a very loving marriage together. He started his career as a TV technician and had Tom & Jerrys TV and later changed to T&Js TV Rentals located on 11th Avenue. He then moved to Edmonton with T&Js TV Rentals from 1970 to 1977 until family brought them back to Regina. Once back in Regina he along with his son, Terry started T&T Siding until 1983, when they formed Bar-T Construction & Pre-Stainers Ltd. He worked with Bar-T until May 2010 when he fell ill. He lived his whole life for family, friends and travelling. He touched the lives of many and added joy to each of those lives. The children wish to express heartfelt gratitude to Uncle Ed for all his help the last few months; we could not have done it without you. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Basils Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1757 Toronto Street, Regina, SK. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
