Obituary of Melvin Ernest Chorney

CHORNEY, MELVIN ERNEST June 13, 1941- August 16, 2010 It is with profound sadness that Mels wife, Brigitte, along with their children announce the passing of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Mel was born on June 13, 1941 in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. Mel passed away with his family by his side on Monday August 16, 2010, in Regina, at the age of 69. He leaves to mourn his wife of 48 years, Brigitte, their children: Melvin Jr. (Peggy), Ken (Dawn), Wayne and daughter Jennifer; grandchildren: Tianna, Natalia, Myles and Falynn; brother Del (Anne) Chorney; sister Rosemarie (Morris) Elynuik; sister-in-law Liz Barth along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mel was predeceased by his infant daughter, Cheryl, and his parents, Nick and Mary (Rogoza) Chorney. Mel had a giving heart and beautiful soul. He will be greatly missed and forever in the hearts of all who knew him. Dad, we bet youll be golfing on emerald green golf courses in Heaven with all your buddies who have been waiting for you. Words cannot express how much we love and will miss you. Visitation will be held from 7:00 8:00 p.m. TONIGHT, Thursday, August 19, 2010 in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2010 in Speers Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
