My condolences to the Axelson family.
I met Bruce a number of years ago and he became a friend and mentor. I was always welcomed at the dealership with a “Hey Kiddo” and he was always interested in what was happening with my kids. During some challenging times, he was a source of encouragement. He was always available to give advice on career and life. I will miss him.
He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and spoke of them often. A very generous person, I believe our community has benefited greatly from his desire to make the community better not only for his family but for everyone. He’s gone much too soon!

Our sincere condolences to the Axelson family on the passing of Bruce. I was very fortunate to meet Bruce when we moved to Regina in 1993 in my position with GMAC. The opportunity to sit and have work and personal conversation with Bruce will always be cherished as he became a pseudo mentor to me over the remaining part of my work career. He always questioned how my family was doing and had a sincere desire to make sure they were well and if they weren’t how could he help. His jokes and short snippets always made you laugh and broke any difficult discussion you may of had to have. I will miss his smile and hearing that he had nothing to do with the success of the Capital Auto Group, it was always about the people around him who made him successful. We all lost a great man on the 24th and there will be a huge hole in our hearts. Rest easy Bruce, thanks for letting my family be a part of your world.

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Bruce’s family. Bruce was an industry and community leader, one who continually thought to invest back in those industries and communities. I know our City is so much better for having had Bruce call it home.
I enjoyed his sharp wit and the thought provoking conversations I was fortunate to have with him. When I first met him years ago, I was so intimidated but Bruce was always incredibly kind to me. When I recall my chats with him, what strikes me most was how proud he was of his children and their families. He always said what could possibly be more important than your children. That’s how I will remember him, as a fierce father who wanted to build better for his children and grandchildren. It just turns out that we here in Regina all benefit from his devotion to them.
With deepest sympathy

To Bruce's family, friends and co-workers
We were shocked and saddened to hear of Bruce's passing. We both bought many new vehicles from Capital over the years. Whether we were purchasing or just having service work done, if Bruce was there, he always took the time to say hello and thank us for our business. He was a great businessman and generous contributor to many organizations in the City of Regina.
May your memories of the good times shared bring comfort in the coming days.
Sincerely,
Betty Hoffart and Don Dorsey
