Obituary of Baila Grotsky

Due to a connection issue the livestream of the service is unavailable.

Baila passed away peacefully in the early morning of January 2, 2022 after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents Ben and Mildred and sister Shelley. Baila is survived by her sister Miriam (Jerry), her three children Corey, Deborah (Colin) and David (Keri); five grandsons Jordan, Nigel, Noah, Alexander and Seth; her dog Pebbles; and numerous friends that she held close to her heart. Baila started her working career at Telephone Duty, then spent 13 years at the Leader-Post. From there she worked at SaskTel for 21 years, retiring in 2016. Anyone who knew Baila, even for five minutes was well aware of her warped sense of humour and her innate ability to deliver razor sharp sarcastic comments at a moment’s notice. Baila loved making people laugh, she considered it her duty. She loved performing in medical skits for the SHA, she was also a member of Regina Little Theatre starring in several plays. Baila was a walking talking medical miracle, her body couldn’t keep up with her feisty spirit. Gone, but her laugh will live forever. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Regina Humane Society, P.O. Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7. A Graveside Service will be held at Regina Jewish Cemetery on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
