Ellan “Doreen” Terry (nee McMillan), formerly of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2022 at the age of 93 years. She was predeceased by parents, David and Catherine McMillan (nee McLean); husband Fred; son Don; daughter Linda; and her five siblings. Doreen is survived by son Ernie (Denise); son-in-law Henry Monuik; daughter-in-law Linda (Peter) Rempel; grandchildren, Pamela Martin, Scott Monuik (Karen), Troy Anderson (Stefanie), Shannon (Keith) Weatherall, Erin Plante and Don Terry; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives.

Doreen was born in Lightwoods, SK on November 21, 1928. Following her schooling she moved to Regina and it was there she met Fred Terry. They married on August 7, 1948 and began their life together which saw them move to Hudson By, SK. When the children were older they moved to Saskatoon for a brief time before eventually returning to Regina. After Fred’s passing and following retirement from a long career with Sask Tel, Doreen moved to Kelowna, BC to escape prairie winters. She spent over 30 very enjoyable years there before returning to Saskatchewan to be closer to family. With her health declining, Doreen moved into Extendicare Moose Jaw in August of 2021.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all the staff at Extendicare Moose Jaw for the kind, compassionate care provided to “Dodie” during her stay with them.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Should family and friends desire, memorial donations in Doreen’s name, may be made to The Salvation Army.
