Our deepest condolences to Stan and Jane and all of Kathy's friends. My Mother, Mauvie was a very good friend of Kathy's Mom Loretta. Our family got to know Kathy when she moved back to Regina to help her Mom. It was easy to see that Kathy was a loving daughter and a very nice person.

Sincere sympathy to Stan, Jane, and relatives…..but especially to all of Kath’s close knit group of friends, of which we have been so proud to be a member. So many memories - the mock wedding and too much wine at the registration desk; sitting in the back row of the Grey Cup group at her place, the red wine consumption and the “f” bomb; the check ins at the the Air Canada counter, hoping Kath would be working and could upgrade you; the Ukrainian dancing; and so many other fun time skits!!! We always went all out didn’t we? We’d be remiss in not thanking you once again for readily babysitting our dog Willy. We’re glad you’re in a better place now Kath, and for sure, we’ll all meet again…..and what a heck of a party it will be. Love you lots. Paul and Ian

Kath (the way she identified herself in emails, etc) did what she thought were little things but changed lives with her actions. While having coffee with her this summer, I reminded her of how in 1999, Jim and I had a trip booked with the first stop being Ottawa to visit his family. Jim's mother died just a few days before our trip. We tried to move our trip dates but Air Canada said no changes allowed on those tickets. I called Kath. Her kind actions meant when we got to the airport, we were asked to step to the side. The agent then said, you are onboard and moved to first class. We made Isabel's funeral. Kath did so much for so many of us, she hardly remembered, but we will never forget. Kath a FIRST CLASS human being, always doing for others. We miss you, you are loved.

Kathy Dorsett (Katherine Anne), died peacefully at her home in Regina on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 following a challenging nine years with multiple myeloma.
Though cancer claimed her, it could never completely rob her of the plethora of gifts that made her unique. A quiet woman of substance, with a dry wit, an infectious laugh, a sparkle in her eyes, a smile that enveloped all around her and a healing touch, she loved her furbabies Quinny and Meg, her friends and family.
Kathy was the consummate employee. As a Customer Sales and Service Agent (CSSA) with Air Canada based in Regina (YQR), she tended to passengers and customers with finesse. She will be deeply missed by her colleagues and friends in the Air Canada family.
Upon her retirement and close to her heart was her volunteer work at the George Bothwell Branch Regina Public Library as a co-teacher of young adults with special needs in the “Literacy is Fun!” program. She and a colleague researched, prepared and taught weekly classes over many years.
Kath loved her garden and shared her knowledge with anyone who showed an interest. She delighted in commenting that gardening was always one big experiment! Gifted with natural curiosity, no problem or task stopped her in her tracks. She would meticulously research anything to find a solution and often provided those skills to friends.
She regularly golfed, worked out at the ‘Y’ and enjoyed laughter-filled dinners and bar-b-q’s with an eclectic group of friends. She was an avid Rider fan and exclamations of joy or sorrow (depending on the play) could often be heard coming through her open back door during a game!
Kathy touched many lives. To know her just made you feel good and she left an indelible mark on most everyone she met. This diminutive woman with the big heart is deeply loved and is surely missed.
Her wish to remain at home in the final stages of this disease was made possible by the terrific work of The Palliative Care Team and two close friends. Her family doctor, Dr. L. Blignaut and oncologist, Dr. M. Zarkovic, provided ongoing support over these many years. Thanks to one and all.
“Good night, sweet prince(ss), And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”

My sincerest condolences to all of Kathy's family and friends - many of whom I know well. Kathy's passing is a huge loss to all of us. She was always so welcoming and filled with laughter. I will never forget her kindness to me on so many occasions - but especially when my father died in 1981 and again when she and mutual friend Agnes came to 'rescue me' in San Diego in 1992. And both times, she did just that. Rescue me when I was at my lowest. Our world is at a loss without her. I believe she is in a better place and we will all see each other again. Leone

We are very sorry to learn of Kathy's passing. She was a good neighbour. When we moved into the neighbourhood a few years ago, she was one of the very first to make us feel welcome. When walking Quinny and Meg by our house twice a day, she would always stop for a friendly chat, which made us feel at home. She even allowed us pet her beloved dogs! We have missed seeing her, but will long appreciate having met her. May a tree planted in her memory live a long life.
Sincerely,
Cheryl & Kathryn
