Obituary of Arnold Robert Maier

Arnold Robert Maier, born Bayard, SK 1930, died Friday, August 20, 2010 in Regina following a lengthy illness with lung cancer. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Pat (Zerr) Maier, his children Gerald Maier (Don Davis), Jane Luczi (Paul), Maureen Graumann (Warren), Lorraine Maier (Roberto Judalena), Bob Maier (Amy), and grandchildren Cameron Luczi (Hana Necas), Cara Luczi, Adam Maier and Nicholas Maier. The youngest of 14 siblings, Arnie is survived by brother Jacob of Moose Jaw and sister Vicky Fairhart of Oshawa. Arnie worked as a printer for 35 years. A self-taught accordionist, he led the Dominoes and participated for 19 years with polka masses. A Funeral Service will be held at Holy Cross Church, 315 Douglas Avenue East, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2010.
