Obituary of Jo-Ann Carrie Pearce

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jo-Ann on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the age of 60.

Jo loved the outdoors, bike riding, kayaking, and wherever it was warm. She adored her husband and daughter, who brought her many smiles and years of laughter. She will be remembered most fondly for her beautiful paintings, her seal bark laugh, and quiet demeanour. She loved to winter in Belize and warm summers at the farm or Lumsden Beach.

Extendicare Parkside was her home for the last few years, and we are thankful for their kindness and care.

Jo-Ann was predeceased by her Dad, Roy Pearce, her in-laws Lois & Bob Pettigrew, sister-in-law Bernice Schrader, and brother-in-law Del Stewart.

Jo-Ann leaves to mourn, her loving husband and best friend, Dan Pettigrew, their daughter Jennifer (Daniel) Newland, and her beautiful grandchildren Lilly (7) and Pearce (5). Her caring mother, Margaret Pearce, and her siblings Jan (Bill) Thatcher, Kelley (Patti) Pearce, Patty (Stu) Niebergall, and Doug Pearce. Sister-in-laws Sam (Trevor) Vargo and Carma Stewart, brother-in-law Gord (Kathy) Pettigrew, and many close cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In respecting Jo-Ann's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will take place this summer. In lieu of flowers, we ask you to honour her memory through MS Society, 150 Albert Street, Regina, SK S4R 2N2 or the charity of your choice.
