Our deepest condolences to Millie’s family - so sorry to hear of Millie’s passing…we had not been able to visit Millie the last while with the pandemic restrictions. My mother, Lynn (Olinda Haynes-Berkan), had been a longtime fellow-member of Faith Baptist Church and a close friend of Millie’s for many years. Mom Lynn lives right behind the Extendicare home but it has been frustrating as she could not go to visit her the past couple of years. Before the pandemic, Mom went faithfully to visit Millie and they enjoyed chatting & catching up at these times. My daughter, Mista, had a soft spot for Millie who she knew ever since she was a child. Millie always loved to see her and Mista faithfully stopped by and dropped off special momentos, flowers, cards, etc. which she thought that Millie would enjoy and know that she was thinking of her. Hopefully, she enjoyed these little gestures of love and caring. Millie so enjoyed flowers and so in the spring, as the flowers bud and bloom, we will think of her. We extend our sympathy at this time and hope that she is now enjoying the beautiful flowers in God’s garden.
Sincerely & God Bless,
Lynn Haynes-Berkan, Mista Winter and Sheila Berggren

To the family members of Millie,
Sorry to read that Miilie is no longer with us. Henry and I visited her at Extendacare a couple of years ago, before all the pandemic nonsense. It was so good to see and visit with her! Dear Millie lived in First Baptist Place, next to our place of business. She was such a faithful and our best customer enquiring from the time we started building and opening the business when we would be open for business, which is now 32+years . She was a daily customer whether for just coffee Ora light lunch or the luncheon every Saturday with her friends Elsie and Elizabeth. Our sympathy to you and your family from Henry andJoan Ripplinger.

I worked with Millie for many years in the 1980s at Gordon Arnott's office. Millie was always impeccably dressed, always punctual and was a voice familiar to many as she was receptionist for many years. She loved to garden and the office was full of lush, large boston ferns that Millie fussed over. Condolences to Millie's family-she was a lovely person.
