Obituary of Erling Ira Bowdish

Erling (Erl) passed away Friday, September 3, 2010 after a short battle with cancer. Predeceased by his father Ira (2006), Erl is survived by his loving wife Carol; son Jason (Yvonne); daughter Teresa (Jason Luby); grandchildren, Kyle, Harrison, Rebecca; and his mother Mildred (Elsie). Also survived by his sisters, Sandra (Marvin) Binder, Euniece (Alvin) Dueck, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Erl spent a great deal of his life driving truck which took him all across North America and back home again. When he was home he always had an open door for his most prized possession, his family. He was very active with his grandchildrens lives and they knew that Papa would always be there cheering them on or just for an ear. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 6:30 8:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. A Come and Go Tea, with a short program starting at 2:00 p.m., will be held Thursday, September 9, 2010 in Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina.
