Victoria or Vicki passed away peacefully on May 18, 2022, a few days short of her 93rd birthday. She was born and raised on a farm near Theodore, Saskatchewan, and one of seven children. Her parents were Wasyl Franko and Katie (Pidhorney). After attending high school in Yorkton, Vicki moved to Regina where she first worked for the Province, then the City of Regina as an adult craft instructor. She later met Albert Wolf, who she married in 1953. The newlyweds took up carpentry, building four houses and renovating two others, resulting in ten moves in ten years. Settling down with their young daughter Sherry, Vicki continued to work with her hands, becoming a master seamstress, upholsterer, and a great cook. Vicki loved to entertain, hosting many family gatherings and sharing her happiness. Over the years she expanded her crafting skills to include ceramics, water colour, acrylic and china painting, Rosemaling, and fabric art, most often inspired by nature and flowers. She shared her joy and skill in all things creative with her daughter, grand daughter and many others lucky enough to meet her. Vicki was active in the community, a willing volunteer for many organizations, including the Red Cross and the Regina Ostomy Chapter. She was Girl Guide leader, an active member of Lakeview United Church and on the board of the Rosemont Art Gallery. In their retirement, Vicki and Al liked to travel, enjoying trips to Europe, Mexico and Hawaii. Vicki was talented, hardworking and productive, but most importantly, kind and caring to all. Vicki was predeceased by Al in 2014, her parents and most of her siblings. She is survived by daughter Sherry Wolf (Ian Bailey), granddaughter Gillian Bailey (Joshua Giambattista), great grandchildren Enzo and Nova Giambattista, her brother Stefan (Roma) Franko and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the caregivers at Precious Memories Care Home and the Pasqua Hospital. A Celebration of Vicki’s life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lakeview United Church, 3200 McCallum Avenue, Regina, SK S4S 0R8 or a charity of your choice.
