Obituary of June Campbell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Iva June Campbell on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the age of 72 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Eldon and Iva; sisters, Katherine, Eileen, Ramona, Jean, Doris, Amy, Mary; and brother Duncan, June is deeply loved and will be truly missed by her loving husband of 45 years, Matthew Firemoon; her brother Angus Campbell; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

June was born at Davidson, Saskatchewan and grew up on the family farm west of Craik. She and Matt met at the age of 13 and 17, as schoolmates. June loved to travel. She worked various jobs - cleaning, laundry, waitressing, and working at the Exhibition every summer. She never said no to any work that came her way, until the age of 71. She loved helping people and had a heart of gold. June always made sure her family and friends were fed and not thirsty when they came to visit.

June loved get-togethers and music. Her favorite artists were, Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, and Johnny Cash. She spent her days with the love of her life, Matthew and her cat Misty. June also loved her other animals, and rescuing dogs, cats, and birds. She will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of June’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2022 in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
