Obituary of Glen Hassard Stinson

GLEN HASSARD STINSON September 15, 1924 - September 18, 2010 Glen passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the age of 86 years. He was born and grew up in the Mankota, Saskatchewan area. Glen was predeceased by his parents Richard and Ida, his brother Melville, and sister June. On September 10, 2010 Glen and the love of his life, Beulah, happily celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Left to cherish his memory are Beulah, (nee Cameron), his children, Shelley (Robert), Dan (Gail), Dick (Cathie), Wes, Betty-Ann (Darryl), 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and sister Dorothy. Over the years, Glen and Beulah welcomed numerous exchange students from around the world, who became members of their extended family. Those who knew Glen are aware of his involvement with many organizations, most notably Rotary and Wesley United Church. He was well known as an organizer, planner, counselor, mentor, and a leader of people. He believed in family, friends, and community. Glen embraced the Rotary motto of Service above self?. A Celebration of Glens life will be held at Wesley United Church, 3913 Hillsdale Street, Regina on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Unit 3-5 at Wascana Hospital.
