Obituary of Ronald Ursu

Ron passed away suddenly Thursday, September 23, 2010 in Estevan at the age of 71. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Aspasia Ursu, and his brother, Ed Ursu. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Tilly, his children, Rick (Christine), Helen (Randy), Cheryle (Blaine), David (Nicole), Lisa (Allen), and nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Jim (Jan), Gabe (Jeanne), Roy, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was born December 10, 1938 at Kayville, SK, where he took all of his schooling. When he moved to Regina, he worked for Co-op Creamery. Later, Ron and Tilly owned and operated a Dairy Queen for several years. For the past ten years, he ran a courier service for the Leader-Post to points south of Regina. Prayers for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 2005 Edgar Street, Regina, SK, with Fr. Dan Nenson officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers most gratefully declined.
