Margaret, born on November 8, 1922, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2022 after a full life, just shy of her 100th birthday. She is predeceased by her first husband, Eric Asquith; her second husband, David William Morrey; and her sister, Patricia Horn. Margaret is survived by her three children, seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren: Philip (Arlene) Asquith of Prince George. B.C., and their children: Alicia Asquith (Scott Stevenson), JP (Rebecca) Asquith, and Mark Asquith (Carianne Campbell); Sue Asquith of Calgary, and her son, Jeremy Bernstein (Heather James-Davies); Cathy (Doug) Billett of Regina, and their children: Thomas, Jenny and Colin Billett. Mom was born in England and worked as a Registered Nurse and midwife. She married Eric in 1949 and they immigrated to Canada in 1949. She continued her nursing career in Canada and eventually finished her career at the Plains Hospital in CCU. She always put others ahead of herself, volunteering with many service organizations, including the Anglican Church, Lioness, Monarchist League, Royal Society of St. George's, and St. David's Society. She was also active in the Girl Guides where she received her 85-year service pin and a Governor General Award. She travelled extensively and when at home enjoyed visits from the “great-grand dogs” and their humans. She will be deeply missed. Thank you to the staff on 3A Palliative Unit for their wonderful care of mom. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margaret, may be made to a charity of your choice. Celebration of life will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
