Obituary of Gail Marie Moore

Gail Marie Moore (nee Weger), late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Friday, September 9, 2022 at the age of 72 years. She was born February 7, 1950 in Melville to Karl and Adeline Weger. Gail married her soulmate Cliff Moore on May 9, 1970. She received her education degree after studying at the U of R and U of S. She then set out on a teaching career that began in Thompson, Manitoba, followed by schools in Regina and Prince Albert before she became Gail from the Jail, teaching at the Men’s Correctional Facility for over 20 years. Gail retired from the jail and enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Arizona with Cliff, and spending time with her growing family.

Gail was predeceased by her husband Cliff of 46 years; parents Karl and Adeline; and stepfather Fritz. Gail’s memory will be forever celebrated by her three children Jeff (Carmen), Josh (Kendell), and Megan (Andrew); cherished grandchildren Brooklyn and Madison, Hannah and Lucas, Heidi and Lillian; siblings Rick (Lynn), Richard (Louise), and Ruth (Norm); sister-in-law Carolyn; and much-loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her precious friends Carol, Gena and all the Peter Pond crew were daily in her heart.

Gail loved life and loved to have fun. There was never anyone more excited than her to have a happy hour with friends, host a supper party, play cards or crib, and best of all spend time with her children and grandchildren. In the last five years, she showed us all her unbelievable strength and spirit, but most of all, her enduring love. Enormous gratitude is sent from Gail’s family to the caring staff at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre.

Celebration of Life, “Gather for Gail” will be held at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 28 Street West, Prince Albert, SK on Saturday September 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
