Obituary of Florence Mills

Florence passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the age of 92. Flo was predeceased by her husband Don in 1994 and sister Mable in 1999. She will be missed by her loving family; sons Bob (Joan) and Bill (Bev); grandchildren Aaron Rolick (Nicole McDonald) of Vancouver, BC, Skye Rolick of Regina, Ken (Kristin) Mills of Frankford, ON and Cathy Mills of Vancouver, BC and great-grandchildren Brianne and Sara Mills of Frankford, ON. Flo was very proud of the accomplishments of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will also be dearly remembered by her sisters Dottie McKillop of North Vancouver, BC and Vera Whittington (Dick) of Melbourne, Australia; brother-in-law Ken (Ev) Mills of Lethbridge, AB as well as a number of loving nieces and nephews. Our mother will be remembered for her prize winning Brownies and Lemon Loaf. She proudly participated in the Exhibition homemaking displays annually for over 45 years winning many awards for her sewing and baking. Flo and Don enjoyed travelling, which included two trips to Australia and travel to England. The boys fondly remember the family camping vacations to the mountains. Thank you to the West Wing staff at Extendicare Sunset for the kindness and care of our mother. Flowers gratefully declined.
