Anne Behl

Obituary of Anne Behl

It is with deepest gratitude for the many memories we have and for the profound impact which Anne had on all her family and many friends that we announce her passing on Sunday, November 27, 2022.  Her’s is a life to be truly celebrated.

Anne was born in Lipton, SK, the daughter of Thomas and Alexandria Yuras.  She was the fourth oldest among eight children. She was predeceased by her parents, her 3 brothers and her 4 sisters; husband Leonard Behl in 1968; daughter-in-law Josephine Behl and sons-in-law Les Stashko and Ian Smibert; as well as granddaughter Tressa Kennedy and grandson Nathan Behl.  She is lovingly remembered by son Ronald Behl and daughter Judy Smibert; grandchildren Christopher (Lisa) Behl, David (Candida) Stashko, Jeffrey (Lisa) Stashko and Robert (Christine) Stashko, along with grandson-in-law Paul Kennedy; as well as great-grandchildren CJ, Alysa, Chloe, Hailey, Mia, Logan, Anthony, Esther, Lyvia, George, Devany, Vida, Adam and Grace.

Anne was fun-loving and outgoing – she lived her entire life to the fullest right up to its very end.  She loved to dance, sing, and entertain.  She was young at heart. As she aged, she provided entertainment for other senior citizens and would sometimes remark with a smile on her face, even about those younger than her, “I’m off to entertain the old folk”.  She was a member of the Northgate Walkers, the Horticultural Society, the 49er’s, Happy Entertainers, numerous other groups along with being a lifetime member of the Girl Guides. She also was an active participant of her Church Choir and the Lutheran Women’s Ministry League.

Please join us to celebrate and remember a life well lived, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2015 4th Avenue North, Regina, SK on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.  Donations can be made in Anne’s memory to Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
