Obituary of Clara Alice Vollman

Clara Vollman (nee Konanz), age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on November 27, 2022. Predeceased by her husband George, her sons Mark and Reg and grandchild Shawn, parents Daniel and Karoline Konanz, 14 brothers and sisters, and George’s family.
Clara is survived and loved by daughters Iris (Murray) Beitel; Holly (Darrell) Beitel; Sons: Brent (LaVerne); Doug (Darlene); Dale (Arlene); Kelly (Tracy); Cleve Hobbs (Martha); daughters-in-law: On and Deb; 26 grandchildren and their families; 45 Great Grandchildren; 5 Great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Clara was a kind and patient, loving wife, mother, grandmother, auntie, sister and friend. She always had a smile to share which she said made people happy. Clara and George were well known in the community of Kronau for their business, Vollman’s Esso. They were always welcoming to all who came to their service station and their home. The house had a rotating door with people constantly coming and going. Mom loved to sing right to the end. Music was such an important part of her life. She sang in the St. Peter’s Choir and the Sweet Adeline’s. She was a wonderful baker and was well known for her yummy cinnamon buns, kuka and apple pies. She was a member of the C.W.L. and Kronau Ladies 4 Square Club. Mom and dad loved socializing, playing cards, and going to the casino. They loved family gatherings and holidays. She loved baseball, curling and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. She was a faithful Catholic parishioner. She attended her last Catholic service at Brightwater a week before she passed.
Our sincere thanks go to all the people who visited and asked about our mother the last 4 years. Thanks so much for the loving care at Parliament Place and Brightwater.
