First of all I would like to express our deepest condolences to Loraine, Sabrina and Brett. I knew Wray through Dan (my bro) and Brenda. Although we didn’t see a lot of each other the things that I’ll always remember about Wray were his: laugh, it was sort the of a giggle/cackle/belly roll and his bright spirit. If Wray was present there was always a near smile on his face. We watched the entire funeral online; enjoyed it so much. Sabrina, I applaud your strength and fortitude; one of the most difficult things to do would be the eulogy of a parent. Brett, the music and songs were amazing and a wonderful tribute to your dad through some of his favorite artists, the last song was cut off shortly after you introduced it but the former songs were so lovely. Thank you.

Condolences to Lorraine, Sabrina, Brett and all the rest of the family. So very sorry for your loss, Wray was such a great person. Everyone enjoyed him so much and can still see him playing hockey, snowmobiling and just enjoying or telling a story and his great laugh. Beverly Fraser (Powell)

Our deepest sympathy to Lorraine, Sabrina and Brett.
I still have a picture in my head of Wray in his yellow snowsuit zooming down the ski hills.

I met Wray back in the 1960’s through another good friend of ours (Jim Rennick), also from Rouleau. It quickly became apparent that this new acquaintance was a force to be reckoned with! A real live wire. We had a lot of fun together, most of which can’t be documented here. Then during our children raising years we lost contact but reunited after retirement in Lake Havasu, Arizona where the fun started all over again and took up from where we’d left off.
Other folks have mentioned that infectious laugh of Wray’s, he always seemed to be in a great space. Wray had many talents and was an inspiration. I had the privilege of seeing Wray and family just before he passed and it’s a memory I’ll cherish.
Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Lorraine, Sabrina and Brett. Wray very much loved and was proud of his children, Sabrina and Brett. He would always keep me updated on Sabrina’s many dare-devil escapades and he especially loved Brett’s guitar music.
Both Sharon and I will miss Wray very much and we extend our condolences to Lorraine and the family

My condolences to Lorraine and family. Being a member of the Westrum Lumber family for 14 years ,Wray and I went on many hardware show trips to Toronto and BC and many laughs and interesting times were had if you know what I mean. He worked hard and also played hard especially when he was behind the wheel of his speedboat. The fondest memory I have of Wray was at the lake when we had the summer work parties and me almost getting thrown out of his boat while he was playing "Relic" of the Beachcombers.
He will be missed!! Rest in peace Wray

I didn't know Wray a long time but we had quality time. First time we met was in Mexico. He was sitting in a lawn chair in the neighbours drive way. I walked up and introduced myself. We chatted a few minutes and I asked: "you like to fish?" He said "Yup". I said "see you at 0600"... and a friendship was born. We slayed a lot of fish the two of us, stories too numerous to write here. He loved the fact that the fish we caught went to feed the orphans at a local orphanage. He had a heart of gold. Of course...there was that infectious laugh. I am gonna miss you Buddy.
Lorraine, Sabrina, Brett and family... our deepest condolences.
God always takes the good ones first and Wray was one of the best! RIP
