During this time, under the direction of a prison chaplain, Jim worked with ex-prisoners and their families. Jim was a hard worker. One of his clients wrote him the following: Thanks so much for all your hard work! We really appreciate all the little extras! Its refreshing to meet someone with your work ethic. We look forward to seeing you again!? Jim loved to fix and restore old cars . . . especially HONDAs. He made it very clear to Shelley and Jims friend, Darren Kalaman, that Honda Owners Never Drive Another.? Jims favorite HONDA was Bailey? and both Jim and Shelley were fortunate to go on several road trips throughout Canada and the USA with their reliable HONDA. One of Jims passions was travelling; in particular, Jim loved to travel throughout the USA. During his travels Jim enjoyed exploring nature and was fascinated with the historical elements of people, places, and things. He was also interested in birds and liked to bird watch. When he was a young boy he raised pigeons. Jim also loved horses as he saw them as graceful and possessing a gentle, quiet strength. Jim loved to play sports and watch sports; in particular, Jim loved baseball, football, and hockey. During his life, Jim played football and baseball. Most recently, Jim was excited to take part in both 5k and half marathon runs. Jim (affectionately known as Beaner? by his wife Shelley) will always be remembered as a loving, committed friend and a loving dedicated husband. His warm and caring manner will be missed by many.
