Obituary of Virginia Barkley

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Virginia, on Monday, October 18, 2010. She was born on October 6, 1928 in the district of Flintoft, SK. She was predeceased by her husband Lorne Spence Barkley; parents Costa and Annie Radu; and sister Helen Tonita. Virginia leaves to mourn her daughters, Lori Barkley (Gerry Serhan) and Brenda (Mark) Doepker; her much loved grandchildren Spencer Ruddell and Megan and Andrew Doepker; and brother Jerry (Alana) Radu. Mom had some of her happiest memories playing cards with her friends at the Regina Senior Citizens Centre and visits and holidays with her children and grandchildren. At Virginias request, a private family memorial will be held at Riverside Memorial Park. Donations in Virginias memory may be made to a charity of ones choice. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. S. Rayson and Dr. Shamsuzzaman for Moms care during her illness.
