The family of Virginia Winnifred Healy are sad to communicate her passing on December 10, 2022. Gina was born on March 15, 1920, to Raymond and Bertha Bitterle in Duluth, Minnesota. She grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan. At a young age she was a photographer at a New York City studio. In 1938 Gina married Barney Healy and moved to Canada. She lived most of her life in Regina but lived briefly in Weyburn and Edmonton. She worked many years at the Eaton’s cash office in Regina.

Family and friends were very important to Gina. She was devoted to her son, Don; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her special joy. Gina made annual trips to Michigan to see her American family. She enjoyed her time with the coffee ladies. Gina loved cheesecake, collecting paper weights, crosswords, and reading the paper daily. She will be remembered for her hugs, smile, witty sense of humour, and for bringing joy to everyone she knew.

She was predeceased by her husband, Barney, and siblings Wally, Doug, Lillian, Jack, Kenneth, and Barbara. She is survived by her son Don (Lisa); grandson Brendan (Brittney); and great-grandsons Benjamin and Jameson; granddaughter Lauren (Diono Agi); and great-grandson Amadeo Agi; and step-great-granddaughter Natalia Klein. Gina was a beloved aunt and great aunt to many, including Judy Windeler (Ralph); Rex Martin (Shelley); Todd Martin; Linda Korsbreck (Dwaine); Trisha Evert (Roger): Penny Clark (Larry); Haely Lindau; and Kearney Healy (Lori).

Gina was a blessing and will be deeply missed. A funeral service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue in Regina, SK, on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.speersfuneralchapel.com.
