Obituary of Ted Wagner

It is with great sadness to announce the death of our dear father, Ted John Christian Wagner, late of Regina SK. Ted passed away peacefully on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Regina General Hospital at the age of 68 years, with his children by his side. 

Predeceased by his parents Ewald and Doris Wagner, Ted is survived by his children Jan (Raffi), Jennifer, Jessica (Isla) and Josh (Danielle); sisters Linda (Iwan) Saunders, Anita (Gary d.) Ford, Brenda (Rich d.) Collacott, Crystal (Kevin) Wagner, and their families; as well as numerous other family members and loved ones. 

Ted was born at Grey Nuns Hospital on June 10, 1954. He grew up on their family Dairy farm north of Regina on Highway 6. Ted went on to run the farm with brother-in-law Rich Collacott, under the name TedRich Farms. In 1992, he and his family moved to Regina, SK, where Ted pursued his career within the dairy industry, installing the first robotic milking systems in the province. He continued working within the dairy industry until 2016. Ted had a love of combo sports and would often be found playing broomball or fastball in his earlier adulthood. Later in life he enjoyed spending days golfing, putzing around the yard, lounging in the sun, and laughing with friends and family. 

A come and go Celebration of Ted’s Life will be held at Speers Family Center, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, 1874 Scarth Street, Regina, SK S4P 4B3. Special thanks to the team of doctors and nurses in the MICU at Regina General Hospital for the tremendous care you gave to our father.
