Obituary of Irene Emma Ann Graff

Irene Graff (nee Wingert) passed away peacefully at the age of 86 at the Craik and District Health Centre, on December 28, 2022. Born on September 12, 1936, Irene spent her early life in Parry, SK, and remained throughout her life a reflection of her stalwart prairie surroundings as well as her Scottish roots. She was devoted to her family and her faith, and we are grateful for her good humor and pragmatic presence, whether she was enjoying the simple pleasure of an early lunch at the mall or gathering an impressive collection of China teacups.  

Irene will be missed by her son Brian (Rachel); grandson Jonas; partner Mervin Smith; sister Dorothy McCready; niece Shelley (Lyle) Piprell; and many cherished family and friends. She was predeceased by her father, John Wingert; mother Jeannette Wingert (2012); husband Alan (“Blondie”, 2006); and her beloved son Barry (1985).

The family would like to thank the staff of the Craik long-term care home. You gave Irene dignity and compassion at her life’s end, and we are grateful. A private interment will be held in Regina at a later date.
