Obituary of Shirley Walton

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley on December 28, 2022.  She was born May 6, 1935, in Broadview, SK, to Bill and Margaret Terry.  At the age of six months, she was moved to Regina, where she remained the rest of her life.  She was predeceased by her loving husband, Fred in 2002; her brothers George, Bill, and Fred Terry, and her stepbrother Allan Terry, as well as a sister Peggy Fahlman, and her stepmother Elsie Terry.  She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda and her husband Dennis Prystayko of Winnipeg, and Susan and her husband Dennis Schuck of Regina, her sister Mildred Fehr of Calgary as well as many nieces, nephews and many church friends, fellow bowlers, coffee friends and neighbors.

Shirley spent her entire working life as office secretary of Grace Ev Lutheran Church in Regina, for 45 years.  She loved 10 pin bowling and attended bowling tournaments in various cites in Canada and USA.  She also loved to travel and she visited many cities and countries.  Special thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff of Regina Wascana Grace Hospice for taking just great care of our mom.

As a devoted Christian, she now rests peacefully awaiting the resurrection call from her loving Saviour on His return.

The memorial service will be held at Grace Ev Lutheran Church on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 2.00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Riverside Memorial Park, Regina. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may donate to Grace Ev Lutheran Church, General Funds, 1037 Victoria Ave, Regina, SK S4P 0N6.
