Obituary of Gail Patricia Wolbaum

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Gail Patricia Wolbaum (nee Lipinksi) on January 31, 2023, in Regina.

Gail was a beloved mother, daughter, grandma, sister, aunt and friend who touched many throughout her life.

Gail was born to Michael and Irene Lipinski in Regina Saskatchewan on September 6,1948. She attended Balfour Highschool and spent many years working for the Provincial Government, Ministry of Justice. After retirement, Gail spent time working with the Catholic School Division and S.U.N.

Gail married Larry Wolbaum in May of 1970 and raised their two children Chad and Jaymie together in Regina. Although Larry and Gail eventually chose separate paths, they remained friends and cared about one another, taking time to check in on each other often. 

Gail’s pride and joy were her grandkids. Each one of them had “Gram” wrapped around their finger. Gail loved family gatherings and looked forward to the time spent with family, laughing, having drinks and enjoying together time.  

Gail is predeceased by her parents Mike and Irene and siblings Doug, Donna and Alan. Gail is survived and will be greatly missed by her children Chad(Connie) Wolbaum, Jaymie Dovell; grandchildren Deklen, Erik, Kerr and Emily; ex-husband Larry Wolbaum; special cousin Trudy(Ron)McGrath; numerous extended family members; and closest friends Myrna, Cheryl and Rhonda.

A private celebration of her life will take place this summer “Gail Style”. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may donate to the Canadian Cancer Society.
