Obituary of Rev. Walter Logan

Rev. Walter Logan passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, November 1, 2010 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy, parents Elizabeth and Arthur; sister Evelyn; brother Lawrence and daughter Joyce. Walter will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Beverley (Logan) Chouchick and son-in-law Joe; one granddaughter Lisa of Regina; as well as his nieces and nephews. Walter lead a very fulfilling life, he was a past chair of the Regina Anti-Poverty Ministry and very active in the community as a social activist. Walter was involved with the Refugee Committee in Windsor, Ontario and also brought in the Downtown Mission for those in need in Windsor. He was very involved with all aspects of church life. Overall, Walter gave his time for the betterment of humanity. A Memorial Service Celebrating Walters Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2010 in St. James United Church, 4506 Sherwood Drive, Regina. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Prostate Cancer Research, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.
