RIDER, Frank Stuart Harold “Bud”

November 2, 1933 – March 28, 2023

Bud passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, leaving a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends. He was born the eldest son of nine children in Aylesbury, SK. In 1955, Bud married Wyonna Mittelholtz and together they settled in Aylesbury. Later that year, they welcomed the birth of Terry. The three of them made the big move to Regina, where they welcomed the birth of Cheryl. Wyonna passed away in 1991. In 1992, Bud went on a blind date with Shirley Osborne and they “dated” for 14 years and married in 2006. He also retired in 1992. Bud and Shirley moved off the Balgonie farm and back to Regina in 2014. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Mira Rider; wife Wyonna; brothers, Tom (Chris) and Bob (Darlene); and sisters, Angelina and Marj (Don). Bud is survived by his wife Shirley; children, Terry and Cheryl (Bruce); granddaughters, Pam (Ron), Janeen (Darren), and Jill; great-grandchildren, Scott, Ethan, Matthew, and Hailey; step-sons, Wayne (Wendy), Dale, and Dean; step-grandchildren, Tanner (Telisha) and Jordyn (Braydn); step-great-grandchildren, Rylee, Avery, and Lainey; sister Ann; brothers, Melvin (Ina), Murray (Barb), and Gerry; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3510 Queen Street, Regina, SK on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date in Aylesbury, SK.
