MUSHKA, Gerald Russel

1948 – 2023

Gerald Russell Mushka, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer at the age of 75 years. He was the beloved husband of Dora (nee Keller); brother of Ken (Linda) and Linda; and brother-in-law of Joan. Gerald’s life was filled with joy and pride for his nieces and nephews, Doug (Melissa), Jackie (Les) Berkes, Craig (Alysia), Jennifer Rees (Sean), Carmen Jackson (Tim), Daniel Jackson (Meagan), Sean Flotre (Chelsea), Elizabeth (Eric) Stretch, Tristan Flotre, Mathew (Jennifer) Keller, Lindsay (Darrell) Eason, Jared (Mykea) Keller, Alicia (Kyle) Blake and their children. In his life he mourned the passing of his brother Lawrence; father Peter; mother Olga; brother-in-law Robert; in-laws Ador and Dorothy Keller; and niece Jeannie Straub. After graduating from the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, Gerald worked most of his career at WaterGroup as an industrial designer. Later, he worked as a human resources manager before retiring to Turtle Hill acreage in the Qu’Appelle Valley near Craven. There Gerald built his dream home and found the full expression of his artistic nature, his love of animals, and of the valley landscape. Gerald had a gentle, open, and generous heart that gathered many valued and loving friends to him.  A Celebration of his life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Tuesday July 4, 2023, at 1 p.m.  To leave an online message of condolence, please visit, www.speersfuneralchapel.com.
