Obituary of Esther Doreen Posehn

Esther passed away peacefully on December 7, 2010 at William Booth Wascana Grace Hospice at the age of 72, following a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents, Fred and Emma Posehn; brother Arthur; sister Karen; and step-father Geoffrey Bywater; Esther is survived by her brother Wilfred (Minnie); sister Audrey Clifford; special friends, Lynn Hawrylak, Irene White, Lorraine Petrisor, and Sebastian and Shirley Zimmer; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Esther was raised on the family farm at Davin. She attended school at Kronau, and later, business school in Regina. In 1956 she started working for the Federal Govt. Public Service, having been employed in the R.C.M.P. Crime Detection Laboratory, Depot and F? Divisions, and retired in 1993. Esther was actively involved in social activities of the R.C.M.P. She was involved with the Ladies Shooting Club (.303 rifle), bowling, curling, badminton, and won many trophies. She had a passion for travelling, gardening, fishing, and played saxophone in a band. Thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff on Ward 3D? at the Pasqua Hospital as well as the nurses and staff at William Booth Grace Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to William Booth Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK, S4R 8P6. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 13, 2010 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina SK with Pastor Robert Leeson officiating.
