Obituary of Joyce Nicol

January 21, 1940 December 17, 2010 Joyce, late of Regina SK, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 17, 2010 at the age of 70 years. Joyce was born in Garnkirk, Scotland. She attended Chryston Elementary School and Coatbridge Secondary School. Joyce worked as a dental assistant before training as a physiotherapist at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. While completing her studies Joyce met and eventually married her beloved husband, Gordon. Joyce and Gordon came to Canada in 1966. As well as being a busy mother to 5 children Joyce was a much respected physiotherapist at Sunset Extendicare. Joyce loved music and was a proud member of her church choir. Her other passion was her garden. She was at her happiest when tending to her flowers. Joyce is predeceased by her parents John and Millie Hill; brothers David, Arthur, Douglas and sister, Betty. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Gordon; daughters Shirley Nicol, Judith Koch (Kal) and Adrienne Larsen (Tony); sons Ken and Gareth Nicol (Marcy); four grandchildren, Tyler and Andrew Larsen , Capri and Sophia Koch; sisters Jesse and Sheila and brother Norman; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 2170 Albert Street, Regina with Rev. Brad Childs officiating.
