Obituary of Margaret 'Jean' Schaefer

1943-2010 Jean passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at the Pasqua hospital following a long illness. Predeceased by her father Stephen in 1999 and her mother Margaret (nee Kambeitz) Schaefer in 1943; she is survived by and will be missed by her stepmother Ella Schaefer and her uncles and aunts, Anton Schaefer, George and Valerie Schaefer, John and Carol Schaefer, and Jack Kambeitz, and her cousins and friends. Jean was born in Fillmore, Saskatchewan, and grew up in Osage, Saskatchewan. She moved to Regina to take a secretarial course and her first job was for the Army. She later worked for Revenue Canada and then the RCMP. A big sports fan, she loved to curl and play softball. Jean liked to travel and had a keen sense of humour. She especially liked to spend time with family and friends. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Little Flower R.C. Church, 420 College Avenue, Regina, SK with Rev. Barry Anwender presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers most gratefully declined. Those so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Saskatchewan Heart and Stroke Foundation 279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8 or to a charity of their choice. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Unit 3D at the Pasqua Hospital and to Dr. Jarikre.
