WILLIAM "BILL" ALEXANDER TAIT 1944 2011 The family of Bill is saddened to announce his passing on January 5, 2011. Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Muriel; In-laws Muriel and Art Hanson; two brothers-in-law Lee Bowden and Robert Jackson; nephew Doug and sister-in-law Elaine Thomson. Bill is survived by his wife Linda, son Stuart (Fawna) and children Nicole, Hannah, Madeline, Megan, Rachel and Cassie; and son Kelly (Adrienne) and children Kaelan, Isaac, Logan and Keirsten; sisters Jean (Carol) Hingtgen; and Helen Jackson and children Jim, Barry (Charity)Jackson and children Jessie , Barry Jr., Madison, Debbie (Rob) and children Darian and Wade; brothers-in-law Don Hanson and Andrew Thomson; nephews Walt (Sandra) Thomson and children Bronwyn and Liam; Warren Thomson and children Tia (Veronica) and Ariane, Sean (Tatiana) and Tessa; and niece Shannon Thomson (Jim Wood) and children Tanner and Shane. Bills sense of humor will be remembered, as Bill kept himself fully amused with his never ending supply of pranks/jokes he felt the need to play on his unsuspecting victims. He truly had a clever wit and sharp mind to come up with the ideas and schemes that we all, at some time or another, bought into. NO ONE was excluded! Bills long term friendships were diverse and many; starting with his family, extending to friends who came from all walks of life. Each and every one of his family and friends were truly dear to his heart. Bill was born on Feb. 29, 1944 in Arcola, SK, where he honed his skills as a prankster. Even though he attended and graduated from Arcola High School, his initial journey in scholastics was a bit sketchy. Teachers werent actually sure if he was in class or not (as Bill would play hide and seek with his teacher), his classmates feared his presence as tacks could be found attached to their bottoms and his mother had to send him to Carlyle for summer school. He left Arcola to wear a suit and tie to begin his career as a banker. He moved from town to town for many years with the bank (and spreading mayhem over three provinces) before retiring to Regina. He completed his final working years with Wal-Mart and driving bus for individuals with special needs. We loved his honesty, trustworthiness (only if you werent the recipient of his pranks), attention to detail (he had to keep his schemes straight), his positive, straightforward attitude and loyalty as a friend. Go Straight Ahead? Memorial Service will be held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2015 4th Ave N, Regina on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation (for the replacement of hospital beds) P.O.
