Obituary of Elsie Loewen

Elsie Loewen, born December 24, 1916; after having a wonderful and full life, went home to be with her Saviour on Monday, January 17, 2011. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Jacob; parents Albert and Mathilda Weiss; five sisters and two brothers. Left to celebrate her well-lived life are: her son Glenn (Delores) and daughter Donna (Rod); five grandchildren Tracey (Alex), Craig, DeLee, Kristen and Kevin; three great-grandchildren Mekayla, Jamar and Samantha; one sister Irene and numerous nieces and nephews. Elsie was a very talented seamstress who continued to pursue her love of sewing into her 90s. Throughout her life she was a devoted and active member of her church, Redeemer and Good Shepherd Lutheran. The Funeral Service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3828 Hillsdale Street, Regina on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Chimirri-Russell officiating. Interment to take place in Regina Memorial Gardens. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at QuAppelle House and the wonderful nursing staff on 3D at Pasqua Hospital.
