MARJORIE ISOBEL ODLING August 12, 1921 March 30, 2013 It is with saddened hearts we announce Marges peaceful passing in her sleep at her home in Broadway Terrace in Regina. Left to cherish her memory are: her children Jim Odling (Rose) and Lois Gadd (Gerry); grandchildren Jana Odling (Dean Brown), Jamison Odling (Nadine Walicki), Misty Forrest (Tyler) and Mandy Odling (Rodney Peters); great-grand children Casey Brown, Maddix Forrest, Evey Forrest and Elsa Peters; sister-in-law Monica Morrison Weighill as well as several nephews and nieces. Marge was predeceased by her husband of sixty one years and best friend Edward (Ted) Odling; parents Eustace and Georgina Weighill; father/mother-in-law Edward and Amelia Odling; brothers Walter, Eustace, John, Mark and Francis (Tiny); sisters-in-law Marion, Andrea, Fern, Hazel and Vi Weighill and brother/sister-in- law Tom and Winn Wood. Marge completed her elementary and high school in Davidson before moving to Regina to attend business classes at Balfour Technical School. Her first job was at the Parliament Buildings in the Department of Agriculture. Upon taking a ten-year leave from working to have and raise children, Marge returned to work at Stanley Home Products until its closing. After that she worked at the Federal Government and Montreal Trust from which she retired in 1986. Marge kept busy in retirement with walking, bowling, dancing, cribbage, playing the electric organ, watching curling and crossword puzzles. Annual trips to Hawaii for over twenty years were very special. Marge and Ted also enjoyed many bus trips to Casinos in Minnesota, Winnipeg and Medicine Hat. Marge and Ted built their dream home in the Rosemont area in 1954 and stayed there 50 years until moving to Broadway Terrance in 2004 where they really enjoyed their many friends and activities. They were active members in the Rosemont United Church and Broadway Terrace Church. Marge was very proud of all her family. She and Ted took an active part in their childrens lives and their families, especially with the grandchildren. Their love and support have helped all of us in following our dreams and passions. In recent years Marge loved spending time with her great grand children. She will be missed very much by all her family and friends. Special thanks are extended to her family of friends and staff at the Broadway Terrace Personal Care Home for their great friendship and wonderful care. A Celebration of Marges Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Lois Knudson Munholland officiating.
