Obituary of John Hugh Reeson

John passed away at the age of 50 years on Sunday, March 20, 2011. He is survived by his parents, Ken and Donna Reeson of Regina; his brothers and sisters, Rick (Katya) Reeson of Edmonton; Holly Reeson, Dave Reeson, Peggy (Terry) Linder, and Sarah (Kevin) Bodnar, all of Regina; Jody (Tom) Rice of Neville, SK; and Ken (Paulette) Reeson of Beaumont, AB. John was a favorite Uncle? to Peter and Matthew Reeson; Marc, Adam and Meghan Reeson; Justin and Jarrid Linder; Jordan and Makayla Bodnar; Sharla and Keithan Smith; and Alexandria and Mackenzie Reeson. He is also survived by his uncle, Hugh Gucker of New Westminster, BC and cousins, Wendy (Keith) Prior of Regina and Pat Williamson (Rod Graham) of Kincaid, SK. He was predeceased by nephews, Andrew Reeson and Tyler Smith; Grandpa and Grandmother Reeson; Grandpa and Nannie Gucker and special 4-legged friend Shadow. John was born on May 12, 1960, the fifth child of Ken and Donna Reeson. He graduated from Luther College and went on to work for 31 years at Remco Memorials, initially as Senior Installer and later as Production Plant Manager. John spent many years at Regina Beach boating and snowmobiling. He enjoyed many family visits at his lake home. John loved everything with a motor and was skilled at driving anything on wheels. All who knew him appreciated his dry sense of humour. John was a trustworthy confidante and problem solver and will be missed by all. Visitation will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, on Tuesday March 29, 2011 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Knox-Metropolitan United Church, 2340 Victoria Avenue, Regina on Wednesday March 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Robert A. Kitchen officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted.
